    In the lesson:

    • Today’s topic – Life Skills. Collaboration.
    • The first task:
      • watch the clip
      • tell us what this man’s skills are and for what (or what was he doing and for what)
    • Write on a board – “life skills”
      • what that can mean?
    • read the “background information”
      • What is “team member”? – question to the class
    • SB p.28 (beginning)
      • read about life skills
    • New words:
      • to share – делиться (идеями, вещами)
      • to combine – объединять (идеи, информацию)
      • recycling – переработка
      • sociable – общительный, социальный
      • stressful – стрессовый, утомительный
      • whenever – всякий раз, в любое время когда…
      • goal – цель
      • to assign – назначать, поручать
      • to waste – тратить (зря)
      • to divide – разделять, распределять, дробить
      • to search – искать
      • to split up – разделять, разделяться
      • chart – график, диаграмма
      • respecful – уважающий
      • essential – необходимый
      • to interrupt – перебивать, прерывать
      • fair share – твоя честная доля (работы), большая часть работы
      • the best order – наилучший порядок (дел, задач и т.д.)

    • Ex.1 (team work):
      • two teams  – read the questions silently
      • I ask one student from the team for one question
    • Ex.2:

      • read the text on p. 29 quickly, find the answer
    • Ex.3 (team work – difficult!):
      • there are 5 tips in the text
      • Find the statement (sentence) in the text:
        • number of tip
        • read from the text a fragment which matches to the sentence (it’s rephrased!, but the meaning’s the same)
      • Example:
        • 1 – Tip 3: Team members can choose tasks they do well or enjoy.
          • show the text and the sentence
