2. Homework 1, read questions:
   1. — the gate — Where — take — children ? (answer — past)
   2. — What — Phoebe — like — in the gardens ? (answer — statues)
   3. — there — What — on the streets ? (carts and horses)
   4. — that — a volcano — or a mountain — there ? (answer — it was a volcano there)
3. Homework 2: check new words (I show, they say) – on the pictures / poster.
4. Homework 3: WB, p.10, Ex.1,2,3 – check in pairs, then on TV (STAMPS)
5. Open SB p.11, Ex.1. Discribe: There are 5 pictures and a building. One picture is extra. Read the text, write the answers (only names).
6. On the board: Past continues on the board with WHEN: Write down of the board: When the aerthquake happened what were the people doing?
7. SB, Ex. 2, listen and repeat.
